This delightful non-alcohol beverage is a perfect blend of tangy pineapple sweetness and a hint of spice, making it an ideal thirst-quencher for warm days.
In a large saucepan, combine the cubed pineapple, water, cinnamon stick, and cloves.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon to infuse the flavors.
After 30 minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool down to room temperature.
Once cooled, use a mesh strainer to strain the pineapple mixture into a pitcher or glass jar. Press down on the pineapple solids to extract as much liquid as possible.
Stir in the honey and fresh lemon juice into the strained liquid. Adjust the sweetness with more honey if needed.
Cover the pitcher or glass jar and refrigerate the Pineapple Cider for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Pineapple Cider over them. Optionally, garnish with a pineapple wedge or a cinnamon stick.
Enjoy your homemade Pineapple Cider and share this refreshing tropical delight with friends and family!
If you prefer a bit of fizziness in your cider, you can add some sparkling water or soda just before serving.
